Tampa Splits Doubleheader With St. Lucie

Lance Pendleton Throws Six Shutout Innings In Tampa’s Win

Lance Pendleton improved to 6-4 on the season with a really nice start in Tampa’s 5-3 win over Clearwater.  He gave up just five hits with six strikeouts in six shutout innings.  Jonathan Hovis threw a shutout ninth inning and he picked up his eighth save of the season.

Tampa Edges Clearwater 4-3

Three Errors Cost Tampa In Loss to Palm Beach

Three errors led to a total of four unearned runs in the Yankees 8-4 loss to Palm Beach.  Lance Pendleton took the loss and he dropped to 5-4.  He gave up four unearned runs on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in four innings.

Bullpen Falls Flat In Tampa Loss

Tampa Held to Seven Hits In Loss to Sarasota

The Yankees didn’t much going at the plate and they were held to one run on seven hits in a loss to the Sarasota Reds.  Damon Sublett picked up two of those hits with a pair of singles and he also drew a walk and drove in the lone run for Tampa.

Tampa Pitchers Hit Hard In Loss to Charlotte
