Phil Coke Is Hit Hard In Tampa Loss

Phil Coke dropped to 6-2 on the season in a rough start in Tampa’s 7-2 loss to Clearwater.  He gave up six runs on eight hits and three walks with two strikeouts in four innings.
Tampa hitters managed just six hits in the loss.  Jose Tabata singled, drove in a run and drew a walk.

George Kontos Has Rough Start In Tampa Loss

George Kontos fell to 1-4 on the season with a rough start in Tampa’s 9-1 loss to Jupiter.  He gave up six runs on six hits and six walks with five strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.  Three of the six hits that Kontos gave up went over the fence.

Phil Coke Throws Eight Hit Shutout In Tampa Win

Phil Coke improved to 5-1 on the season with an eight hit complete game shutout.  He gave up one hit and he struck out five in the win.
Christopher Malec went three for four with two RBIs in the 8-0 win.  Edwar Gonzalez went three for three with a triple and one run.
