The Sand Gnats scored three runs in the final two frames to come back and beat the RiverDogs 4-3.  Josh Thole drove in two of those runs and he doubled while Daniel Stegall went two for four with a double and an RBI.

The Sand Gnats got plenty of offense but the pitching wasn’t there in a 13-9 loss to Greenville.  Hector Pellot went three for five with two runs and an RBI while Daniel Stegal went two for six with three runs.  In all, six different Sand Gnats scored and three drove in at least two runs.

Sand Gnats Make Eight Errors in Blowout Loss to Greenville

Talk about ugly.  Six different Sand Gnats piled up eight errors in todays game and the end result was seven unearned runs.  The pitching wasn’t all that great either but this was downright embarassing.  Tobi Stoner dropped to 0-2 and he gave up five unearned runs.

Greg Mullens Pitches Sand Gnats to Second Straight Win

I’m not sure why he was left in there for so long but Todd Privatt had an absolutely ugly box score in his start against Kannapolis.  He gave up ten runs on fourteen hits and a walk with two strikeouts in three innings in the 10-4 loss.

The Sand Gnats couldn’t push a single runner across the plate as they lost to Augusta 6-0.  Greg Veloz and David Wabick each had two singles in the loss.
Timothy Stronach dropped to 0-2 on the season.  He gave up five runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk in 3 2/3 innings.

Jorge Reyes Throws Five Shutout Innings in Sand Gnats Win

Jorge Reyes threw five shutout innings and he gave up just four hits with four walks and five strikeouts in the Sand Gnats win over Asheville.  David Wabeck drove in three runs in the 5-1 win while Francisco Pena went four for four with a double and a run.
