St. Lucie’s Season Ends In Blowout Loss to Brevard County

Well, it looks like St. Lucie blew their chance yesterday because Eric Brown was shelled as their season ended with a 13-2 loss to Brevard County.  Brown gave up six runs in 2 1/3 innings but he had some help because the pen yielded seven runs as well.

The pitching wasn’t all that great, but St. Lucie got plenty of offense in their 15-10 win over Lakeland.  Jose Valentin went one for three with a homerun, three RBIs and four runs.  Nick Evans went four for six with two RBIs and two runs but just about everyone was a hitting star in this one.

St. Lucie Shut Down at the Plate Again in Loss to Palm Beach

Yesterday it was just one run.  Today, St. Lucie was shut out on just five hits in a 2-0 loss.  Nick Evans had three of those hits and he doubled twice.
Deolis Guerra took the loss.  He gave up two runs on six hits and a walk with one strikeouts in six innings of work.

St. Lucie Hammered 14-1 By Palm Beach

This was a beating.  Jose De La Torre got the start and he was shelled for four runs on seven hits and 2 1/3 innings.  Even worse, left hander Kevin Tomasiewicz was roughed up for seven runs in just 1 2/3 innings.

St. Lucie topped Vero Beach and the pitchers really got it done.  Jonathan Niese threw five shutout innings and gave up just one hit and for his troubles, he didn’t even pick up the win.  Jacob Ruckle picked up the win with three shutout frames.
