Staten Island Loses to Lowell In Ninth Inning

Staten Island took a 5-4 lead into the ninth inning but walked away with a 6-5 loss.  Ronny Marte gave up the two ninth inning runs and he fell to 2-1.  Francisco Rondon struck out eight in four innings in his start.

Trenton Lare Pitches Staten Island to Win Over Aberdeen

Trenton Lare improved to 1-0 with a really solid start in the Yankees 5-1 win over Aberdeen.  He gave up one unearned run on three hits with five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

Staten Island got their game in today, unfortunately they didn’t play enough innings to give them their first win.  Their two runs came on back to back home runs by Neil Medchill and Kelvin Castro.
