Lakeland took care of Sarasota 6-2 and it was Michael Bertram who brought the big stick.  He went two for three with a double and three RBIs.  Scott Sizemore doubled, drove in two runs and scored.
Matt O’Brien improved to 1-0.  He gave up two runs on eight hits with two strikeouts in six innings.

Matt O’Brien fell to 0-2 on the season with a rough start in Lakeland’s 6-2 loss to Brevard County.  He gave up five runs on eight hits and three walks in six innings.
