by @ Sunday, April 20th, 2008. Filed under Homer Bailey, Jay Bruce, Drew Anderson, Louisville Bats - April 2008, Jerry Hairston Jr.

It’s hard to believe Bailey’s ERA could get even lower but he did just that yesterday with 7 1/3 shutout innings in a 5-0 win over the Mud Hens.  Bailey gave up just five hits with a walk and three strikeouts and he’s now 3-1 with a 1.03 ERA and a .204 batting average against.  […]

Louisville Loses to Norfolk In Eleven Innings

by @ Thursday, April 17th, 2008. Filed under Kevin Barker, Gary Majewski, Louisville Bats - April 2008, Bill Bray, Scott Sauerbeck, Andy Green

I’m no longer bitter about the trade, but I find it ironic that both Bill Bray and Gary Majewski, the guys we got when we traded Felipe Lopez and Austin Kearns, are both playing for Louisville.  Okay, maybe I am bitter about the trade still.
Still, it was Scott Sauerbeck who took the loss.  He gave […]

by @ Sunday, April 6th, 2008. Filed under Gary Majewski, Louisville Bats - April 2008, Adam Pettyjohn, Alvin Colina

A 3-2 lead turned into a 5-3 loss in a hurry as Gary Majewski served up a a two run homer in the bottom of the ninth to take the loss.  I swear this guy is going to haunt me even when he’s in the minors.  Anyway, Majewski took the loss and a nice start […]

Homer Bailey Outdueled In Louisville’s Opener

by @ Thursday, April 3rd, 2008. Filed under Homer Bailey, Jay Bruce, Ryan Hanigan, Louisville Bats - April 2008, Jolbert Cabrera

Don’t blame Homer Bailey.  He threw about as good of a game as you could, the hitters just didn’t get it going for him.  Bailey gave up a single run on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts in seven innings.
The Bats picked up just four hits in this one and Ryan Hanigan had […]
