Jonah Nickerson Is Hit Hard In Lakeland Loss

Jonah Nickerson fell to 1-2 on the season in the Flying Tigers 10-4 loss to Fort Myers.  He gave up six runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Jeramy Laster was the hitting star in the loss.  He went two for four with a solo homer.

Duane Below Has Rough Start In Lakeland Loss

Duane Below fell to 1-2 in the Flying Tigers 6-2 loss to Fort Myers.  The left hander gave up three runs on three hits and seven walks with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
Jeramy Laster went one for three with a double and a walk.  Cale Iorg tripled and scored a run.

Michael Bertram Drives In Three Runs In Lakeland Win

Lakeland took care of Sarasota 6-2 and it was Michael Bertram who brought the big stick.  He went two for three with a double and three RBIs.  Scott Sizemore doubled, drove in two runs and scored.
Matt O’Brien improved to 1-0.  He gave up two runs on eight hits with two strikeouts in six innings.

Lakeland took care of Sarasota 4-2 and Duane Below got it done on the mound.  He gave up three hits and three walks with nine strikeouts in six innings.
Shawn Roof was the hitting star.  He went two for four and he drove in two of the Flying Tigers four runs.
