The upper ends of the Mets minor league system had a tough time as, like the Zephyrs, the Binghamton Mets were shutout on five hits.  There were no extra base hits and Jose Coronado was the only hitter who reached base more then once.  He went one for two with two walks.

The Mets didn’t score until the ninth inning but they got exactly enough runs to pick up the win in a 3-2 win.  Brett Harper had the big hit in the inning with a two run homer.  The long ball was his tenth homerun of the season.

Errors Cost Binghamton In Loss To 3-1

Kevin Mulvey had a tough start.  While he gave up seven hits, all three of his runs were unearned because of one tough inning in the fifth.  A throwing error by Corey Ragsdale would have made it three outs but a susbsequent double piled on the runs in the inning.
