Trenton Edged By Altoona 4-3

Eric Wordekemper and Joshua Schmidt combined to give up a run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Thunder lost to the Curve in the final at bat of the game.  A decent start by George Kontos went to waste.  He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts.

Matt Carson Drives In Five In Trenton Win

The Thunder dispatched the Mets in an impressive offensive display.  The final was 13-7 and while there were plenty of hitting stars, Matt Carson was a notch above the rest.  He went three for four with a triple, a homerun, five RBIs and three runs.

Tampa Blows Early Lead In Loss to Palm Beach

Tampa scored four first inning runs but didn’t score again as they lost to Palm Beach 5-4.  Andres Perez was the hitting star in the loss.  He went three for four with a homerun and three RBIs.  Christopher Malec walked twice and drew a walk.

Kevin Whelan, Relievers Combine For No-Hitter

Kevin Whelan continued his transition to a starter and had his best game this year as he threw five no-hit innings in the Yankees 3-0 win over Jupiter.  David Robertson and Joshua Schmidt each then threw two no-hit innings to finish up the no-hitter.

Tampa Tops Brevard County In Eleven Innings

Jose Tabata singled home Reegie Corona in the bottom of the eleventh to win it for Tampa in their 7-6 win over Brevard County.  He finished game with two hits and he drove in two runs.  James Cooper also had a nice game and he went four for five with a homerun and two runs.
