Sarasota Gets Beaten Down By Lakeland

This was an ugly game all the way around.  The pitching gave up eight runs, the defense made three errors and the offense picked up just five hits and a run.  Josh Holden was the hitting star.  He went two for two with a walk and he scored the only run of the game.

Five late runs turned a 6-2 lead into a 7-6 loss as the pen was hit hard in Sarasota’s loss.  Derrik Lutz had a tough time and he gave up four of those runs and he took the loss.

Ramon Ramirez had a tough start in Sarasota’s 7-5 loss to Lakeland.  He gave up four runs on eight hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in five innings.  Josh Roenicke took the loss and he gave up two runs in the ninth.
