St. Lucie Edges Dunedin 6-5

Both Dunedin and St. Lucie had a late flurry of runs but it was St. Lucie who came out on top 6-5.  Jose Castro went three for four with a double, a run and an RBI.  Dustin Martin went two for four with a two run homer.

Brandon Nall gave up three tenth inning runs and he ruined Tobi Stoner’s St. Lucie debut.  Stoner continued his solid season with a nice start.  He gave up just two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts in seven innings.

Jacob Ruckle Throws Six Shutout Innings In St. Lucie’s Win Over Lakeland

Waner Mateo lost his first game of the season in a tough relief appearance for St. Lucie in their 9-7 loss to Vero Beach.  He gave up five runs (three earned) on five hits with two strikeouts in just two innings.

St. Lucie Scores Twelve In Win Over Clearwater

Three different St. Lucie hitters drove in three runs in the Mets 12-9 win over Clearwater.  Sean Henry, Jose Castro and Ryan Coultas all pushed three runs across the plate.
Alexis Beras picked up the win with two shutout innings.  He gave up just one hit and a walk with three strikeouts.

Eric Brown Hit Hard in St. Lucie Loss

Eric Brown had a tough start in St. Lucie’s 8-7 loss to Brevard County.   He gave up six runs on ten hits and two walks with a strikeout in 4 1/3 innings.
