Trenton Pitchers Are Hit Hard in Loss to Reading

Three different pitchers gave up at least a pair of runs in Trenton’s 8-3 loss to Reading.  Wilkins Arias took the loss and he fell to 1-2.  He gave up two runs on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings.

Tampa Pitchers Hit Hard In Loss to Charlotte

Charlotte didn’t discriminate as they knocked around all three of the pitchers that the Yankees put out on the mound.  It was Charles Nolte who took the loss in the 9-4 loss.  He gave up four runs (three earned) on three hits and a walk in two innings of relief.

The Yankees got some very solid pitching this afternoon as they took care of Charlotte 3-2.  Jason Stephens got the start and he gave up just a single run in five innings.  Then Lance Pendleton gave up just a single run in three innings and he picked up the win to improve to 4-3.

The Yankees got plenty of offense in their 11-8 win over the GCL Indians, and while Jesus Montero had just one hit, he played a role in four of the Yankees runs.  He singled, drove in three runs and scored while Prilys Cuello had a team high three hits with a run and an RBI.
