Cougars Continue Hot Streak With Fourth Straight Win

The Cougars ran up the scored on the Lugnuts and won their fourth straight game in a 16-4 win.  Greg Dowling went four for six with two homers, five RBIs and two runs.  Michael Massaro went five for six with two RBIs and two runs.

James Heuser Strikes Out Eleven In Kane County Win

James Heuser had a great start in the Cougars 8-1 win over Burlington.  He gave up a single run on six hits and two walks with eleven strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. 
Greg Dowling had a nice day at the plate.  He went two for four with a double, three RBIs and two runs.

Cougars Lose to Clinton In Eleven Innings

There wasn’t much offense in either game, but the Cougars finished with a split in their doubleheader with Cedar Rapids. The first game was a 3-1 loss and Jermaine Mitchell drove in the lone run.  Andrew Bailey took the loss despite striking out ten in 5 1/3 innings. The Cougars lost 4-3 to the Lugnuts today and while they scored three late runs, they fell a run short of extending the game.  Larry Cobb hit a solo homerun and Greg Dowling continued to hit well and he went two for four with a triple and a run.

Kane County Drops Two in Doubleheader to Burlington
