Inland Empire Held to Two Hits In Shutout Loss to Lake Elsinore

A really nice start by James McDonald went to waste as Inland Empire was completely shut down at the plate in a 1-0 loss to Lake Elsinore.  McDonald gave up one run on five hits with eight strikeouts in six solid frames and the loss drops him to 4-4 on the season.

Jason Schmidt was sharp in his rehab start for Inland Empire and he helped in the 2-1 win over the Quakes.  He gave up two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six shutout innings.
Ryan Rogowski was the hitting star in the win.  He went two for four with a double and an RBI.

Inland Empire’s pitching gave up nineteen runs on nineteen hits in their 19-7 loss.  Jordan Pratt was hit the hardest and he took the loss.  He gave up seven runs in 1 1/3 innings.
