Loons Pick Up Just Six Hits In Loss to Dragons

Like in the Inland Empire game, a nice start went to waste as the Loons couldn’t get the bats going.  Joshua Wall gave up three unearned runs on two hits and three walks with a season high nine strikeouts and for his troubles, he took the loss and dropped to 2-7 on the season.

Loons Come From Behind to Edge Dragons

The Loons went down by five runs early but they held on and came back to beat the Dragons 7-6.  Scott Van Slyke homered, drove in two and scored two runs.  Adolfo Gonzalez went four for five with a run and an RBI.

Thomas Melgarejo Is Hit Hard in Loons Loss

The Loons lost 7-5 and Thomas Melgarejo struggled in his start.  He gave up seven runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts and he dropped to 0-4 on the season.
Eduardo Perez was the hitting star.  He went two for four with a homerun and two RBIs.

Clayton Kershaw Pitches Loons to Win Over Dragons

Clayton Kershaw gave the Loons eight shutout innings and he gave up just one hit to improve to 5-2 on the season. He walked one and struck out seven in the 3-1 win.

Thomas Melgarejo had a tough start and he dropped to 0-3 on the season.  He gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
