Ian Kennedy Pitches Tampa to Win Over Dunedin

Ian Kennedy had another nice start and the win pushed his record to 4-1.  He gave up two hits and three walks with eleven strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.  The eleven strikeouts is a season high and Kennedy now has 47 strikeouts in 44 innings.

Tampa Shut Out by Dunedin

Four hits usually won’t cut it and it’s especially disappointing when you can’t even score a run.  And that’s what happened in the Yankees 8-0 loss to Dunedin.  There were no extra base hits and the only hitter to reach base twice was Francisco Cervelli, who walked and singled.

Erick Abreu Hammered in Loss to Fort Myers

Erick Abreu lost for the first time this year in a 9-1 blowout loss to Fort Myers.  He gave up five runs on eight hits and a walk with one strikeouts in just three innings.

Tampa Loses 4-1 in 20 Innings
