Lakeland lost 3-2 and the three runs they gave up all came in the ninth inning off of Freddy Dolsi.  Because of those runs, a nice start by Eleazar Aponte was wasted.  He gave up six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in six shutout innings.

Lakeland ran up the score today a 13-6 win over Dunedin.  Justin Justice led the way with a monster game.  He went three for four with a triple, a homerun, six RBIs and two runs.  Cameron Maybin had three hits, two RBIs and five runs while Michael Hernandez had three hits and three RBIs.

Eleazar Aponte Hit Hard in Flying Tigers Loss

Eleazar Aponte had a tough start in Lakeland’s blowout loss to Clearwater.  He gave up six runs (five earned) on five hits and four walks with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
The lone Lakeland run came via the long ball.  Dusty Ryan hit a solo homerun and it was his fourth of the year.
