The RiverDogs picked up two runs in the top of the eighth inning and those two runs turned out to be the difference in their 6-4 win over Rome.  Mitchell Hilligoss went three for five and he drove in a run while Christopher Kunda doubled and he drove in three runs.

The RiverDogs and Sand Gnats each took a game in their doubleheader.  In the first game, the RiverDogs scored three late runs but the comeback came up short in a 4-3 loss.  John Axford took the loss and he gave up three runs in two innings while Brian Aragon went one for three with two [...]

It had to end eventually and whle Mitchell Hilligoss scored a run and drove in one, he didn’t pick up a hit to end his historic hitting streak at 38 games.  He can’t be blamed because nobody was really hitting in the 3-2 loss because the RiverDogs picked up just five hits.

It didn’t come until his fourth at bat, but Mitchell Hilligoss extended his hitting streak to 38 games with a double.  You have to feel for Christopher Malec as the Mitchell Hilligoss show overshadowed an excellent day at the plate.  He went two for four with a grand slam and five RBIs.
