Grant Duff fell to 11-6 on the season in a tough start in the RiverDogs 6-1 loss to Asheville.  He gave up three runs on six hits and six walks with five strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

RiverDogs Pick Up Win Despite Only Five Hits

The RiverDogs beat Kannapolis 4-2 and all four runs scored by Charleston were unearned as they capitalized on three Kannapolis errors.  Josue Calzado went two for four while Kevin Smith went one for three with a run.

Gabriel Medina and two relievers combined to hold the Catfish to just a single hit in the RiverDogs 3-1 win.  Medina gave up just the one hit with six strikeouts in six shutout frames.
Eduardo Nunez went two for four with a run.  Seth Fortenberry walked twice, scored a run and drove in one.

The RiverDogs lost 14-4 and it was reliever Brady Martinez who took the brunt of the damage.  He gave up ten runs on ten hits and two walks in just 1 2/3 innings.
Brian Aragon belted a two run homer in the loss.  Brandon Ketron doubled, drove in two and scored a run.
