Smokies Come From Behind to Beat Barons

The Smokies came back from a two run deficit to beat the Barons 4-3.  Sam Fuld doubled home Carlos Rojas in the bottom of the ninth for the game winner.  Fuld also had a solo homerun earlier in the game.

Smokies Score Five In The Eighth In Comeback Win Over Lookouts

The Smokies turned a 4-1 deficit into a 6-4 win with five eighth inning runs against the Lookouts.  Carlos Rojas had only one hit but he drove in three runs while Jacob Fox went four for four with a homerun and two runs scored.

Iowa Held to Three Hits in Loss to Nashville

Iowa was shut down at the plate in today’s game as they were held to just a single run on three hits.  Eric Patterson doubled home Carlos Rojas in the third inning for the only Cubs run.

Carlos Marmol Strikes Out Eight in Iowa Win

Carlos Marmol got it done in a nice start for Iowa.  He gave up just a single run on three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in seven innings.
Carlos Rojas went two for four with a run and an RBI.  Koyie Hill doubled twice, drove in a run and scored twice.
