Brett Smith Is Hit Hard In GCL Yankees Loss

Brett Smith fell to 0-1 on the season with a rough start in the GCL Yankees 9-2 loss to the GCL Braves.  He gave up four runs on four hits with three strikeouts in two innings.  Jose Ramirez was also touched up and he gave up five runs in five frames.

Tampa Held to Three Hits In Loss to Sarasota

Tampa had a tough time at the plate as they lost to Sarasota 3-1.  Marcos Vechionacci had two of the three hits for Tampa and he scored their only run.
Brett Smith fell to 0-6 on the season.  He gave up three runs (just one earned) on six hits and two walks in five innings.

Brett Smith had a fantastic start today in the Thunder’s 7-4 win over Binghamton.  He gave up just four walks in seven no hit innings and he struck out seven.
Ramiro Pena singled twice and scored two runs.  Aarom Baldiris and Shawn Garrett each doubled, drove in two and scored a run.

Down 4-2, Trenton scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth and then a single run in the bottom of the twelth to walk away with a 5-4 extra innings win.  Justin Christian led the way for the Thunder at the plate.  He had two hits and he drove in three runs.
