by @ Friday, November 30th, 2007. Filed under Alan Horne, Andrew Brackman, Austin Jackson, Ian Kennedy, Joba Chamberlain, Jose Tabata

Kevin Goldstein recently released his list of the top eleven Yankee prospects and there’s little surprise that Joba Chamberlain is at the top of the list.  The guy ascended all the way from High A Tampa all the way to the Yankee bullpen in what can only be called the fast track and I was [...]

Mets Top Twenty Prospects

by @ Tuesday, November 27th, 2007. Filed under Mets Minor Leagues

It was John Sickels turn and he released his list of top 20 Mets prospects.  The top four are the same but the lack of even an A- prospect is a little disconcerting.  Anyway, check it out and it’s interesting to compare it to the Baseball America list.

by @ Friday, November 23rd, 2007. Filed under Devin Mesoraco, Drew Stubbs, Homer Bailey, Jay Bruce, Joey Votto, Johnny Cueto

Baseball America was the first site to throw out their top Reds prospects list.  What’s most impressive about the list is how many major league ready players the Reds have at the top of their list.  There’s no surprise that Jay Bruce comes in at number one, even ahead of Homer Bailey.  Bruce had the [...]

Baseball America recently unveiled their list of top ten Mets prospects and topping the list is Dominican phenom Fernando Martinez.  The kid’s just turned nineteen and he posted good but not great numbers at the Double A level.  The kid is a little raw but he definitely has the tools to succeed and it looks [...]

by @ Tuesday, November 6th, 2007. Filed under James Simmons

In a very interesting piece at Baseball America, columnist Chris Kline caught up with a National League scout to talk about Athletics first round draft pick James Simmons.  Simmons put up solid numbers as a reliever for the Rockhounds and he’s had a solid campaign for the Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League.  The [...]

by @ Sunday, November 4th, 2007. Filed under Tigers Minor League News

The Tigers announced that Larry Parrish will return as the Mud Hens manager in 2008 after missing the 2007 season after he had ankle surgery.  Mike Rojas took over the team in 2007 and for his efforts in guiding the Mud Hens to the playoffs in 2007, he was made the Tigers Minor League field coordinator.  [...]
